As FACE Middle East (FME) continues to build its reputation in the region, the relationships FME have with existing clients also demonstrates good signs of growth.
Many of our clients have global operations with offices located in various countries within the region, including Lebanon.
FME were awarded 2 jobs in Lebanon, both for the same third party logistics company.
The first project was located in a region known as Mekalles. This facility is a VNA warehouse with 17 aisles, 81m long with the floor flatness specification being DM2.
Once FACE UK produced the design, all parties met to be briefed by FME at the pre-construction meeting. Due to the nature of the project and the set up at site, the client took the decision to have an increased level of involvement from FME where a 5 man team were despatched to site for the full duration of the work, supervising the local contractor. This project was slightly more intensive than our usual arrangement but the client wanted total security regarding our supervision package and also, the contractor did not want to be exposed to any more risk than absolutely necessary.
After completing the Mekalles project, FME moved straight on to another project for the same client in Choueifat. This was also a VNA facility with 10 aisles, 65m long. The specification this time was DM1 (as the height of the racking was higher than at Mekalles). Both projects completed on time.
In parallel to the projects in Lebanon, FME were awarded a Design & Supervision job in Dubai by a contractor to work at a new drinks packaging facility. This was 12 aisles, 70m long. Specification was DM2 and all cast without issue.
CoGri Middle East (CME) ended 2012 with the completion of a screeding job, some joint repairs and full depth repairs.
